Description

One good thing about being stationed at the Army Base in Alaska is having the chance to mingle with the locals. In 2006 I was able to receive a set of 2 knives that was made by a local Inuit Indian. These are beautiful knives with fixed blades attached to Sterling Silver. The blades are a high strength carbon stainless steel appx. 6" long with the handle at appx 4" long making the knife at 10" long. The handles are scrimshawed bone with detailed brass trim. This relief style scrimshaw is in 2 dimensional on both sides of the handles. The Grizzly bear blade is hand etched with a pair of Grizzly Bears in a Trout Stream, and the Hunting Dog knife is hand etched with Ducks in flight. These knives have never been out of the box with the box being made from solid cherry wood. In 2006, I paid $250.00 for each knife, and I will sell them for $200.00 each, or $400.00 for the pair, and I will pay for the shipping. Of course you can purchase just one or both as a set. I still have the pay voucher for both knives that I can send with them for proof of purchase and for insurance for these are one of a kind set. Thanks for looking and you can contact me any time by Nex-Tech message board. This would make a perfect X-mas gift. Thanks.
