We  have not cleaned it.  It is marked: STALLION PAT PEND This is made out of what they used to call Airplane Metal which is now called aluminum. The mouth is some type of Nylon and is in Nice Condition

This is a real good looking bit and has not been used that much. Horses love these as they are nice and weigh very little. These old bits make great things to collect as they should just gain in value and do not take up as much space as a saddle!!
