Groundwork-

If you are wanting a horse to become more respectful and responsive on the ground or they are not yet able to be started under saddle we offer a 2 week tune up or start to groundwork. This price is $300 and will include one on one time between the owner and trainer to demonstrate how to work the horse and how to correct bad behavior.

Starting Under Saddle-

This includes at least one week of ground work before saddle time is started. If ground work is preformed by the owner beforehand training under saddle can begin sooner. This is 30 days worth of time. The first 30 days includes mostly round pen and arena rides. An additional 15-30 days can be added for trail riding and more outside riding. This price is $650 per 30 days.

Tune-up-

This is for horses that have been broke to ride previously but have either had time off, new to owner, displaying bad habits. These stays can range from 15-30 days. The price for a tune-up is $550 per 30 days.

Horses Needing Miles-

This is for already broke horses just needing kept in shape. These stays can last for 15-30 days, horses needing miles must be broke and sane horses that are not displaying any dangerous problems. Horses that come in for miles and exhibit other issues will result in a price increase. This is $450 per 30 days.

Barrel Training-

Horses being trained on barrels must already have basic riding knowledge of walk, trot, lope, woah, back, and turning. 30-60 day stays available and can be extended. The first 30 days will consist of slow work through the pattern, adding speed toward the end. Depending on the time of year additional months can be added for hauling and exhibitioning. Owner must cover part of mileage cost and exhibition fees if this is chosen. This is $550 per 30 days.

Lessons-

Lessons for clients with horses in training: Our goal at A&J is to send the owner home with a safe, reliable horse that they know how to handle. One free lesson is offered at the end of training, additional lessons are $20 per lesson.

Lessons for clients without horses in training: Lessons are offered to all ages and disciplines including: barrel racing, english show jumping, general english and western riding, 4-H, and halter show classes.  A&J trainers can travel to your barn for lessons on your own personal horses or an A&J horse can be provided.  Lessons are $20 per lesson (plus mileage if applies).

Multiple horse/ month discounts may be available on a case by case basis. Every price is feed included, if you provide your own feed subtract $50 off of each training price.
