Wanted: Full time, year round, long term farm/ranch hand

everything to do with farming and ranching ---hay, thisel, fence, feild work, trucking at harvest, checking/counting/salting cattle, breaking ice, hauling water, feed chores, working cattle, calving, foaling, halter breaking foals, breaking and riding broke horses when needed. (horse work is few and far inbetween, last priority, they don't pay the bills). We also raise reg, black angus and private sell bulls and replacement heifers. There may be times that our daughter needs help with her longhorn/cori herd.

Needs to know how to drive and operate and have some kind of experience in the following: 4-wheelers (auto and manual), pick ups (auto and manual), pick up with different sizes of stock trailers (range from a 2 horse to a 36 foot), tandam grain trucks (manual) -if you have a CDL thats great, but not required nor needed, john deere tractors 4450's, ford bio's. -if you can plant, drill, disc, spray, swathe, rack, bale that's a plus. If you are able to be mechanical that's a plus also.

Needs to have experience with: working cattle in a low stress enviorment, knowing if something is sick/hurt/trouble calving.....etc. Be able to count the herd correctly and record info and numbers in different pastures.

Needs experience in spraying thisels and fencing (barb and hotwire).

Has to be able to lift 100 lbs. for feed bags, small squares, pannels, working calves and foals.......etc. Roll 250 lb lick tubs on un-even ground.

Ideally has some horse experience on riding, and breaking. We break our horses for team roping, barrels, ranch work......quite and calm for a 4-H kids or family trail horses......we sell horses. -Must be willing to learn how we like to train, break, and ride.......we have a good reputation with our horse sales and we're going to keep it that way! -We are willing to train the right person that already has several years of riding experience. -Again horse work is few and far in-between work.....everything else comes before horses.

Someone that takes care of things, uses care and caution. Responsible and reliable.

Ideally looking for a single man to room with a 21 year old male in a male bunk house we provide. We pay utilities, propane. Mostly fully furnished complete house.......not the most matching nicest furniture but fully functional. Must be over 25 years old (this is due to our insurance requirments).
