Northeast Kansas Small Area Group was founded in the 1960s by a group of families with the desire to provide a family friendly competitive horse show environment in the region that was easy on the pocket book. Since that time, NEKSAG has evolved into an affordable and increasingly competitive circuit with many 4-H youth placing at the Kansas State Fair each year.

Shows are held nearly every weekend and start with the Kick-Off in May 2, 2015 in Troy, Kansas and cease in September with a Fall Benefit Show each year. New members can start anytime throughout the year.

NEKSAG offers some of the lowest fees per class in Northeast Kansas. We offer 100% Payback on the first 4 placing's and points are given for placings 1st through 6th. Nominated horses have points accumulated throughout the year.

Classes include Western Pleasure (halter, showmanship, horsemanship, etc), Open English and Racing events (poles, barrels, flags, etc).
