Credit Union Manager

 

POSITION OVERVIEW


Farmers Credit Union is in search of a Credit Union Manager to plan, direct, and manage all credit union activities in accordance to the strategic vision of the board of directors. This role will be responsible for overseeing all facets of lending functions, including agricultural loans, consumer loans, and residential mortgages; ensuring sound lending practices in accordance with NCUA regulations and credit union guidelines. This individual will guide the team to provide excellent service by researching and staying on top of the latest lending trends, conducting market analysis for maximum loan retention and competitive rates, as well as managing credit union investments. A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field of study is required.  A minimum of two years in banking/finance with experience in agriculture, commercial, mortgage, and consumer lending is desired.

Hays, Kansas is a city in and the county seat of Ellis County, Kansas, United States. The largest city in northwestern Kansas, it is the economic and cultural center of the region. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 20,510. It is also a college town, home to Fort Hays State University. Hays also boasts a vibrant downtown as well as Hays Medical Center, which is a full-service hospital associated with the University of Kansas Medical Center.

 

GENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS

-          Direct all credit union operations, including planning and implementation of policies and procedures.

-          Provide strategic and administrative direction, as well as management of all credit union functions including accounting, ALM, finance, investments, lending, marketing, risk management, as well as staff and board relations.

-          Ensure the credit union maintains compliance with state and federal regulations.

-          Evaluate staff, and provide guidance and direction to increase employee skillsets.

-          Execute marketing, media, and online strategies in order to increase credit union visibility, as well as manage IT strategy and direction.

-          Attend Association meetings, and events as necessary to stay abreast of industry activity.

 

COMPENSATION

A competitive compensation package will be available to selected candidate.

 

REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field of study is required.  A minimum of two years in banking/finance with experience in agriculture, commercial, mortgage, and consumer lending is desired.
