Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Financial Aid Counselor. The Financial Aid Counselor performs a variety of responsibilities related to the administration of federal, state, and institutional aid to students, including receiving, analyzing, and validating financial aid. This position processes applications and forms, verifies and processes information to determine eligibility, and assists in maintaining student information in the PowerFaids system. This position monitors the academic progress of students and actively communicates with them regarding concerns about course load, academic progress, grades, and eligibility for educational benefits. This will work closely with scholarships to apply anticipated aid to the student's account and ensure that students are not over-awarded. The successful candidate will provide high-quality service to a diverse range of students, parents, faculty, staff, and the public, be detail-oriented, and possess strong technological competence. This position reports to the Director of Financial Aid.

Hours/Schedule
Full-time, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and occasional weekend activities required.
SALARY
$15.75-$17.75, depending on credentials and experience.
Flexible benefits program that includes options for single and family health and dental coverage, life insurance, reimbursement accounts, sick leave, and vacation leave allowances, along with 21 days of holiday pay. Participation in the state retirement program is required.
