The Trego Community General Public Transportation Van service is seeking a part-time driver to transport community members to their out-of-town medical appointments, shopping trips, veterinarian visits, rides to the airport or for a rental car, etc. Destinations may include Ellis, Hays, Hill City, Quinter, Garden City, Great Bend, Russell, Salina, Wichita, etc.

Qualifications: clean driving record and background check, current Kansas driver’s license (no CDL required), pre-employment alcohol/drug testing with random testing throughout employment, DOT physical (cost is reimbursed to employee if physical is passed), and required KDOT trainings including defensive driving, passenger securement and assistance, and emergency procedures (training provided following approval for employment).

Successful applicants enjoy working with people, complete required daily paperwork, and work well with the current group of drivers and trip coordinators.

Scheduled work days are flexible averaging 2-3 days a week—sometimes more, sometimes less. Employees fully participate in monthly scheduling to accomodate their other obligations and days they need off.
