We are looking for motivated Peer Mentors in our Hays office. The chief responsibility of a Peer Mentor is to share their own experiences with past addiction and provide resources to assist people in their substance use disorder treatment. Peer Mentors shall adhere to the policies and procedures set forth in the KDADS peer support services policy statement. Peer Mentors must be a Kansas Certified Peer Mentor (KCPM) or eligible to become one. Duties of the Peer Mentor include providing coaching and emotional support for clients, keeping accurate records, organizing local pro-social events, connecting clients with resources related to housing, employment and support meetings.
