Parts Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee the parts department within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and automotive service, with a focus on inventory control and customer service. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly by managing the procurement, sourcing, and logistics of automotive parts.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Oversee supply chain management processes to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms for procurement.
- Implement demand planning strategies to optimize stock levels based on sales forecasts.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to parts availability and order status.
- Collaborate with other departments to support automotive diagnostics, equipment repair, and auto body repair needs.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of automotive service processes, including automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse management practices, including shipping & receiving operations.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for understanding parts compatibility and functionality.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional customer service.
