Tightening up the ranks around here and have a couple available by Hays KS; serious inquiries only please!
- *Pending*“Honky” (100% knows her name) 15 month old dairy/Brahman cross. A2A2 tested status at birth. Naturally polled. Mom currently predicting 8 gallons/day second lactation and disease tested BLV/BVD/Johnes negative. Have not disease tested Honky. Spring vaccs in May 2025. Cycling regularly and ready for bull. Lab puppy that got off his leash for the first time type personality. 😅 Wouldn’t take much to halter break, she’s just a little ornery but respects fences and people. She will walk up to you without hesitation and start licking you….idk it’s her favorite pastime.
- *Pending*“Arlo” Brahman/Sardo/Gyr Bull calf (heavy on the Brahman) born early December. Super sweet little man, currently on week 4 of weaning eating oat hay, 18% grain, 4th cutting alfalfa. No vaccs. I don’t feel any horn buds on him. He’s in itchy spring shed mode. Dectomax pour on last week. He would take nothing to finish halter breaking, and will still take a bottle if you want to use that to make him your best friend (I tested the other day out of curiosity).
- “Ferdinand” same cross as “Honky”, and he is a big ole doll. I haven’t banded him yet but can upon request. Sweet big guy, born January 28th. Started on 18% grain and 4th cutting alfalfa and takes 3 quart bottle or from feeder twice a day like a champ. Big healthy boy.
- “Linda” montbeliarde/holstein cross with Hereford heifer born Feb 18th. Mom is HUGE. She will be a big girl and does have horn buds. A2 status unknown, mom is A1A2, disease tested negative and producing 10 gallons a day second lactation right now. She is family milk cow potential/nurse cow potential. She is not the brightest crayon in the box, I would suggest a lot of handling as she’s a bit of a bulldozer 😅
- “Beverly” 1 week old jersey/angus cross heifer. Mom is disease tested negative, unknown A2 status. She is a DOLL. I put an unused pony halter on her yesterday when she walked up to me and she’s still wearing it likes it’s no big thing. Still on mom but would be easy to put on a bottle.
