Lady (female German Shepherd) and Tramp (male Pit/Lab mix?) were rescued from an animal abuse situation. Both dogs had chains wrapped around their necks in place of collars. The chain wrapped around Lady’s neck was embedded in her neck down to the bone, requiring veterinary intervention. Since the city rescued both dogs, they have been spayed/neutered, and they have both received their required shots. Both dogs were kept outside, so they are not house-trained. They both have been mellow around other people. However, they have not had other dogs around to test for. When they hear other dogs bark, Tramp ignores them, and Lady turns to see where the noise is coming from. Lady did attempt to chase a stray cat on one of our walks. They both were friendly to city staff, loving attention, and giving kisses. Tramp loves to have his belly rubbed.

We are now searching for a good home for both dogs. If possible, we would like to adopt them together, but ultimately, we need to find a good home for each dog.
