Description

Fleetwood camper is in great condition for a 1982.

It weighs under 2,000 pound so no title or registration is needed in Kansas.

12 feet 11 inches long
15 feet 11 inches long to tongue.

Selling for $2,800 since that is my bottom dollar since I usually always get asked that anyway😉.

As you know, these single-axle, lightweight campers under 2,000 pounds are hard to find.
Also, I just spent over $800 last week on:

The expensive 100% silicone on the roof, Dicor seal tite tape on the seams of the roof, new inside cushions, new roof vent with fan, etc.

Please do not message me.

Thank you.

As you probably already know, it is small and weighs under 2,000 pounds.

Kansas does not require a tag or title or registration for this camper.

If you plan to drive it to another state, and want to get a title, tag and registration for it fortunately in Kansas it qualifies for an antique title since it is over 35 years old.

You can easily get an antique title for this.
You just take it to the tag office, which gives you paperwork for a VIN inspection on just the tag on the tongue, and then you just pay about $75 in fees.

That is all it requires in Kansas because it qualifies for an antique title due to its age.

I am selling this vintage 1982 Fleetwood and my 1963 vintage single-axle Shasta because we decided to sell the farm;

Otherwise, I would keep both of them at the farm for family and friends to use when they came to visit.

If you want to come see this camper, I have it located 5 minutes west of Ellis on I-70 and 10 minutes north since I have it at the farm so 30 minutes from Hays.

I also just posted the 1963 Shasta vintage camper.
I do already have the title for this one.

Here are some main details of the 1982 Fleetwood that weighs under 2,000.

It has an extremely solid floor because they made these with solid plywood back in 1982 and the underbelly has a metal cover that protects this wood.

I just installed a roof vent last week above the living room area today with a built in fan to circulate the air when you're not using the AC.

The previous owner had sealed it up with wood, but the new vent looks much better, opens up the space and allows light in.

Also, I just coated the roof with the most expensive and dependable roof coating today.

100% silicone and putting special Dicor tape on the sides and seems.

The previous owner spent a lot of time and money renovating the inside and painting it.

He did an excellent job at sealing it and he used a good elastrometric coating on the roof.

This won't hurt the metal roof which is solid, and at least it can provide a base coating for the silicone that I am putting on.

However, the expensive silicone will drastically reduce the temperature even more and last a lifetime. Plus it is great to use around the roof vents.

All electric inside works great and the battery DC power.
You we'll need to buy a battery for it if you don't wanna plug in too shore power.

The city water works great for the toilet, kitchen sink, bathroom sink and the small shower attachment on the bathroom sink.

The original water pump needs to be replaced which is inexpensive around $50 if you wanna use the freshwater tank.

The stove top works excellent.

The new outside tail lights need to be connected in the back and the wires just need an extension.

The original fridge and furnace are technically too old to use and not worth taking a chance of a fire or gas is being released.

As you know, there's plenty of small dependable furnaces you can get now to provide heat.

Furnace
In my opinion, three simple options exist, although more are available.
The $75 Mr. Buddy heater is plenty to heat the small camper, and it's more efficient and safer than the old furnace.
Electric floor heater

Camco catalyic heater if you wanted the most efficient propane heater that requires no electricity like a Mr.Buddy.
These cost a lot more than the Mr. Buddy and are more efficient.

And the same goes for it refrigerators from DC powered ones to electric.
They are plenty of inexpensive options to replace that old fridge.

Great layout as you can tell with the photos, especially when the windows open up to make it feel more roomy.

Plenty of storage.
Plenty of extra outlets the previous owner installed.

He also installed a brand new window AC in it that works great.
Plus the roof is coated with that expensive silicone that drastically reduces the hot summer rays that hit the metal roof.

There are plenty of ways to set up the shower so it's waterproof and drains out.  I am just not gonna mess with that.
Especially since I have no clue if the new owner will even use the bathroom as a shower.

Many people just use the camp site showers or other peoples showers while camping or traveling.

The previous older gentleman chose to place solid wood over the shower floor pan, but it can easily be removed.

I have some new silver back splash that you could put in the kitchen or around the camper as shown in the photo.

I have the original table and pole you can have since I am keeping my small table in the photo.

Tires are in excellent shape with 90% or more tread left and they are 4 years old.

All windows work great and have a the original screens on them.

Some of the cabinet doors and latches need to be put back on.
They are all painted that nice blue color.
I would recommend just putting some inexpensive magnetic strips on all the cabinet doors.

Which is more dependable at keeping them closed while driving than the original latches that can open while driving.

Brand new cushions for seating area.
And if you want to use them for two huge beds side by side or just one.
You can sleep in either direction since there is over 6'5" of sleeping length either way.

As shown in my photo that will work well, or you can just use one bed.

There is also plenty of space on that wide opening floor for someone to sleep there with one or two of those new cushions.

Like I mentioned above, depending on your particular needs, it just needs some minor things done like the cabinet latches, re adjust the compartment doors, possibly the shower pan and water pump if you do want to use the fresh water tank, water heater, etc.

Anyway, I hope those details help.
Great small, compact, lightweight camper with a lot of character.

It is in excellent shape for a 1982 and not in mint condition of course cosmetically, but for a 1982 it is very solid. sealed to prevent any water from entering, and it will make someone a really nice, compact and fun camper for years to come.

Thank you and have a great weekend
