Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - Long-Term Care is looking for a Full-time Paid Nutrition Assistant. 

Full-time - Monday through Friday - Shift 6 am to 2 pm. 

Position Overview

Provides direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN. Assists residents with nourishment, including meals, snacks, and activities related to food.  Assists residents with fluid intake and hydration in all aspects of their care. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assists residents with eating at all meals.

· Assists residents with set up of their tray at meals.

· Assists other staff with tasks.

· Interacts with residents one on one.

· Assists with activities.

· Passes nourishments to residents and provides assistance.

· Distributes drinking water and other nourishments to residents.

· Reports and, when appropriate, records any changes observed in the condition or behavior of residents and unusual incidents.

· Establishes and maintains interpersonal relationship with residents, family members and other facility   personnel while assuring confidentiality of resident information.

· Attends in-service education programs, as assigned, to learn new treatments, procedures, developmental skills, etc. that pertain to nutrition assistant education.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

·   Current Paid Nutrition Aide certification

·   CNA license obtained in 6 months

·   Current BLS Certificate

·   Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn the system used.
