Come see what history treasures you can find at the Trego County Museum this summer through the “Trego County Treasures” program. The program is designed for families to come visit the museum an learn about our local history along with activities for the children. The activities are designed for kindergarten students and older which include a scavenger hunt, coloring pages, and several hands-on activities. Youth MUST be accompanied by an adult when visiting the museum and admission is free for everyone.
When visiting the museum, each child will be able to enter a ticket in the drawing for a prize at the end of the summer. Our donors for the prize drawing are Gibson Health Mart, Keyser Hardware, Table 529, The Brazen Bull, and the Trego County Historical Society.
The program opens on May 19th and runs through August 8th. The museum is open Tuesday-Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. We plan to be open several Saturdays throughout the summer. These dates will be June 13th, July 18th, and August 8th. Times for the Saturday hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
