This is a nice original Winchester 1886 octagon barreled rifle in 40-82 caliber manufactured in 1894. The barrel and magazine tube retain most of there original blue with some fading and usage wear. The receiver has some case colors still showing throughout and is better in protected areas with the balance a molted silver. This rifle has a nice bore that I would rate at least an 8 out of 10 and should shoot really well if chosen to. The stocks in my opinion have been lightly sanded but still have a nice wood to metal fit and are in great condition.
