This position supports grain operations by assisting with the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and handling of grain at the assigned elevator location. The role involves operating scale house functions, monitoring grain quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks at the grain elevator.
• Operate scale house equipment and assist with truck weighing procedures.
• Collect and analyze grain samples for moisture content, test weight, and overall condition.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate operational records.
• Sweep dump pits and complete general housekeeping, cleaning, and facility upkeep.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age to operate the scale and 18 years of age to work in the elevator facility.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location. Some assignments may be at rural elevator locations several miles outside of town.
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to perform basic physical and manual labor tasks.
• Basic computer skills are preferred but not required.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak operational periods, including seasonal harvest demands.
