Come with 3CO2 & Holster in Great Shape
Winner of the Academy of Excellence “Handgun of the Year” award, Smith & Wesson’s M&P 40 was one of the hottest handguns to be introduced in 2007. As one of the largest handgun manufacturers in the United States, Smith & Wesson put extensive effort into fine tuning every aspect of their new polymer-framed auto loading pistol to make it one of the most advanced pistols they have every created.
This airsoft recreation of the awesome .40 caliber pistol is manufactured by KWC under license from Cybergun with full trademarks. The boys at KWC did an outstanding job on their model with amazing attention to detail from the fish scale serrations on the slide to the pebbled texture of the contoured grip. Even the Military & Police badge looks just like it does on the real firearm. The model has such features as an accessory rail at the front of the frame and white dot combat sights. Detail aside, the pistols build quality is very robust and feels solid in your hand. As you might assume being modeled after a polymer gun, the M&P 40 is mainly constructed out of ABS plastic. However, the trigger, magazine and all the internals are all metal so this pistol is very sturdy with a good realistic heft.
Aside from outstanding looks the M&P 40 is also very impressive on the firing line. This pistol is powered by standard 12 gram CO2 cartridges which are readily available at most any local sporting goods store. Since this is a non blow back pistol the slide does not move so all available gas is used to propel the BB down the barrel making it very gas efficient. The end result is a pistol that can shoot a .2g BB at 350 fps and can fire over 150 shots from a single CO2 cartridge before a reduction in performace is detectible. Now that’s impressive!!
Accuracy is respectable using a high polished .2g BB as it is able to hit a torso sized target at 100 feet with good consistency. However, this pistol really starts to strut its stuff when chambered with a heavier .25g or even a .28g BB. Using a .28g BB we were able to effectively engage a torso sized target at 162 feet 12 out of 15 times. In a crosswind! The trigger pull is so smooth that it is easy to keep the muzzle on target during rapid fire which is normally hard to do with a non blow back.
