First Record album put out by Missing Persons - $15.00

Missing Persons Debut Album (self titled Missing Persons)

1982 – Capital Records – Hit songs = Words, Mental Hopscotch

The actual record is in very good condition. The album cover does show some slight wear.  The advantage of buying records “locally” here in Hays, KS (as opposed to buying a used record through Ebay), is you can visually inspect the record before you buy it and we will play it on my turntable so you can hear that it has no scratches or dings on the album.  It sounds great yet!  Plus you will not have to pay any shipping fees or deal with possible shipping damage of the record through UPS.

Bay City Rollers Lp  $5.00

The Greatest Hits of the Bay City Rollers was released in November 1977 by Arista Records. It includes songs from five of their first seven studio albums and featured hits such as Saturday Night and Don’t Stop the Music.

The Bay City Rollers are a Scottish pop rock band known for their worldwide teen idol popularity in the 1970s. They have been called the "tartan teen sensations from Edinburgh" and are one of many acts heralded as the "biggest group since the Beatles"

Early in 1964 the group (a trio) went by the name of The Ambassadors when they formed in Edinburgh, Scotland.  When they added new band members later that year and during 1965 they changed the name to The Saxons.  They preferred a more American pop sound and decided to change their name to reflect a more mainstream American band name. Derek Longmuir threw a dart at a map of the United States, and the dart landed first on Arkansas. This did not meet anyone's approval, so a second dart was thrown. It landed near Bay City, Michigan and the band agreed on the name, The Bay City Rollers.

The Bay City Rollers would become one of the biggest acts of the 1970s.

The group's line-up had many changes over the years, but the classic roster during its peak in popularity included guitarists Eric Faulkner and Stuart Wood, singer Les McKeown, bassist Alan Longmuir and drummer Derek Longmuir.  A revamped lineup came about in 2018 and this group still performs yet under the name The Bay City Rollers

(this Bay City Rollers record has a slight wave it and the album cover is worn)
