The City of Russell is seeking professional and community-oriented individuals for a full-time Golf Course Maintenance position. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, motivated to grow with the company. The City of Russell is looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to be a part of a team that takes pride in creating a wonderful experience for golfers. The applicant in this position will work directly for the Golf Course Superintendent in the daily upkeep of the golf course and equipment. Daily tasks include but are not limited to mowing, weed eating, spraying, and watering. Applicants must be willing to help with the construction of new course projects and maintenance of existing greens, fairways and tee areas and roughs. This position also assists the Superintendent in basic planning of annual budgets and capital improvements. Applicants must also be willing to keep equipment in good working order through regular repair and maintenance. Basic knowledge of landscaping and equipment repair is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and must be at least 18 years of age or older. There are no residency requirements for this position, subject to response times as administratively determined and required for each department. Pre-employment drug screening, background check and job placement assessment are required. Salary will be dependent on qualifications.
