The Northwest Kansas Area Agency on Aging is accepting cover letters and resumes for an Office & Delivery Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A positive attitude and genuine concern for older adults and people with disabilities
- Ability to communicate and interact with older adults and people with disabilities
- Strong computer and telephone skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Precise attention to details
- Strong communication skills – oral and written
- Ability to be a good public relations person for the agency
- Have the knowledge and ability to assist with day-to-day operation of the AAA programs
- Ability to make good decisions and solve problems
- Ability to work efficiently and accomplish necessary duties in required timeframe
- Ability to work cohesively with other agency staff
- Ability to work with the public
- Preferred experience in purchasing and inventory maintenance
- Food industry background preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must provide proof of valid driver's license and be insurable
- Must be able to pass a background check
DUTIES:
- Deliver supplies to nutrition sites from central warehouse (extensive travel in northwest Kansas 18 county area)
- Maintain and calculate warehouse and nutrition site inventories
- Maintain site and kitchen equipment and oversee repairs
- Purchasing agent for supplies and equipment for nutrition sites and kitchens
- Monitor maintenance and cleanliness of nutrition vehicles
- Maintain nutrition site data and reports
- Assist with menu development and nutrition information
- Assist in monitoring meals at nutrition sites
- Keep office equipment clean and in good working order
- Help ensure reception areas are in a neat and organized manner
- Complete intakes for service requests and make referrals
- Phone log data compiling
- KAMIS data entry
- Filing
- Assist in answering and directing telephone calls to facilitate good staff response to customers
- Projects and duties as assigned by Director
BENEFITS:
Workweek is Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Successful applicant will receive holiday, vacation, and sick time, and will be eligible for KPERS retirement. This can be a full time or part time position.
