Description --> Strong LIBERTY • Attractive Original Surfaces
1834 Capped Bust Dime with solid VF20–VF25 detail and excellent overall eye appeal. This coin shows the classic John Reich / William Kneass design with Liberty wearing her inscribed cap on the obverse and the heraldic eagle reverse used throughout the Bust series. This is a problem free, original example—no cleaning, no damage, and no distracting marks. A great type coin with honest circulation wear.
Obverse Condition
• LIBERTY is fully readable, though not sharp → consistent with VF20–VF25
• Hair curls show moderate wear, but the major curls are still defined
• Stars are mostly full, though some show softness
• Rim is complete with no major dents
• Facial features show moderate flattening, typical VF wear
Reverse Condition
• Wing feathers show moderate wear, but separation is still visible → VF20–VF25
• Shield vertical lines are partially visible, not strong enough for VF30
• Motto is clear
• Claws and arrows show some detail, not flat
• Rim is complete and lettering is strong
Why This Coin Stands Out
• A perfect mid grade type example
• Bust Dimes remain one of the most collected early U.S. series
