Thank you!

Rare 1963 Shasta Airflyte in original condition as you can tell from the photos.

It was stored at a family farm in Salina, KS for its entire life so even the paint is original.

I am only selling the cool vintage Shasta because we are selling our farm by Ellis soon.

I have two small campers in case family or friends need a place to stay while visiting.

The other small one, a 1996 Fleetwood single axle like this one, is also listed for sale.

Plenty of details are below on this Shasta so you know about it ahead of time.
Please read my details to understand more about it.

Please DO NOT message me, but rather call me if you have any questions.

You can call me at anytime since I turn my phone off anyway when I sleep;)
785...
735..
48.64...

19 feet 6 inches long including the tongue
17-foot-long cab
2,700 pounds so extremely lightweight, yet they made them very solid back then as you know.

All original paint and appliances, but only new tires of course.

I also have the original metal Shasta aluminum fins that go on the side rear, which cost $250.

Single axle
Tires all new and just bought high ply tires just 4 months ago.

Rear bathroom and shower which I have not tried to use.

All the burners on the stove work great, but the stove sometimes was difficult to light.

Furnace and refrigerator both work great.

Dining table converts into a bed, and there is a sofa in the back.

Small bed for a child is in the back, on the back wall above the window.

It possibly sleeps three to four people, depending on size, plus a small child?

Clean Kansas title

I have it insured for $12,500 with Hagerty insurance since it is vintage and I have it stored inside.

The insurance cost only around $150 a year, but you must tell them if you have it stored inside and outside.

They also want to know how many days you use it outside.

Selling for $5,800, which is my bottom dollar price so I'm letting you know in advance.  Thank you!

I usually always get asked that anyway;)
I feel this is great value for a rare 1663 vintage Shasta in this kind of condition.

As you know, preserving the camper and preventing water damage are the most important things.

Therefore, I spent $500 on materials alone and about 7 hours applying three separate coats of the best RV silicone to the roof.

I also removed the old silicone from all the corner end caps and applied new sealant.

I cleaned off all the old roof and vent sealant of course before applying the roof sealant.

I also applied a special Dicor corner type seal tape to all roof edges and seams for double protection in these key areas.

Then I applied 3 separate coats on the roof over a 3 day period so each layer could cure properly.

I applied Henry's Tropicol, which will help prevent the hot summer heat from entering the metal roof.

This will drastically keep the inside cooler in the summer and totally prevent leaks on the roof or vents.

Original furnace, electric/propane actually works great.
However, please keep in mind that any fridge or furnace over 20 years old is considered outdated by todays standards.

It can also be dangerous to use due to old technology, valves, and hydrogen ammonia gas in the fridge, among other issues.

AC system
In my opinion, there are two easy, inexpensive, and effective options, even though more exist.

The back window is the perfect size for a new window inverter AC unit.
6,000 BTU or more would probably work just fine, especially since I put 3 coats of silicone on that metal roof.

The other option is a Midea Duo Inverter portable AC system.

I bought a new one as shown in the photo that you can buy from me if you want it and if not, no worries since I can still return it for the next 2 months.

Also, in the photo you can have my new 9x12 RV rug for the outside and my new heavy duty artificial turf that works great also to keep dirt and mud outside while walking into the camper.

This heavy, yet portable AC system will fit perfectly on the floor in the back with the tub exiting through the back window.

Or just route the tube out the bottom to the outside compartment door.

Therefore, you don't need a window unit sticking out the back if you dislike that look.

The Midea Due Inverter uses new technology, consumes fewer watts, and is much quieter than most portable units.

Also, it is high-powered at 12,000 BTU, but you could run it on low to medium to consume less power and watts.

Furnace
In my opinion, three simple options exist, although more are available.

The $75 Mr. Buddy heater is plenty to heat the small camper, and it's more efficient and safer than the old furnace.

Electric floor heater

Camco catalyic heater if you wanted the most efficient propane heater that requires no electricity like a Mr.Buddy

These cost a lot more than the Mr. Buddy and are more efficient.

Water system
It has the original hot water heater and fresh water tank.
I am not messing with these since the new owner can decide what they want.

Also, many people use the campsite showers and portable toilets that are inexpensive.

That way they don't have to mess with dumping the sewage from the black tanks.

No water damage at all either and roof and seals are in great shape.

Interior is in excellent condition and original paint.

No water leaks at all.

The floor is all solid with no damage.

The ceiling, as you can from the photo, is all in mint condition with no water leaks.

Except for two small spots.
One small spot is the small 12 inch spot visible in the photos around the kitchen vent.
And there is nothing to repair since it was minor and the roof is all solid.

The only other small spot where a minor amount of water came through was in front of the front window under the dining table.

However it caused only minor cosmetic  like the roof vent and it is located on the front corner below the booth seat.

It is not worth messing with since it is out of sight anyway.

The cushions are all original and those coffee stains, likely from 50 years ago probably won't come out.

Also, the material is just old from being inside for over 60 years, but I know of a great upholstery person who can put any material you want on those cushions for roughly $200.

He did mine years ago and he doesn't charge as much as the big city prices.

Hopefully all the information helps.

As you can tell from the photos the camper is gorgeous or at least in most peoples opinion.  If you are single, maybe it can help you pick up your future wife.

If you are older, you will be the envy of town.

If your grouchy, maybe this will be the key to happiness....who really knows;)

Seriously, the US dollar might be losing more value soon unfortunately so you are better to have a cool vintage Shasta rather then dollar bills that are worthless.  Think about it...

Really great vintage camper.
It even has that excellent wood smell from the cabinets and other wood that reminds me of going back in time.

Especially since we all wish we could live back in 1963 right now;)

OK...I am out of jokes.
All the best and just give me a call if you are interested.

Thank you!
