The Kansas Department of Transportation is seeking a collaborative leader who can manage people, budgets, and resources while keeping District 3 running efficiently.
KDOT is currently hiring a District Office Manager for the District Three Office.
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Provides leadership and oversight to District managers and employees for efficient fiscal operations within all subprograms of the District. Responsible for development and oversight of all subprograms of the District budget.
- Oversees procurement functions to complete the timely purchase and receipt of goods and services needed by all District staff. Complies with State, Agency, and District policies and procedures for procurement and accounts for proper fund disbursement in accordance with Agency directives and State and Agency policies and procedures.
- Oversees District inventory management for all levels of the District operation. This includes consumable inventory such as fuel, aggregates, sand/salt, equipment parts, etc.
- Provides leadership and guidance so that all offices follow Agency inventory policies and procedures and responsible for meeting Agency inventory reporting requirements.
- Provides insight into the planning, budgeting, and implementation of information technology (hardware, software, training, etc.) to support District users.
- Provides direct supervision to designated District employees.
- Provides indirect, functional leadership for all area administrative staff and operations.
Compensation:
- Annual Salary Range: $51,417.60 - $61,739.19
- Hourly Pay Range: $24.72 - $29.68

Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in providing direction necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program, or organizational unit.
- Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Transcripts are required for education to be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License at time of appointment.
Post-Offer/Pre-employment Requirements:
